What is the West Paw Rumbl?
The Rumbl is another great toy from West Paw. Primarily, it's a silicone/rubber treat-dispensing puzzle crafted from Zogoflex. Indeed, it's reminiscent of the Classic Kong toy. Filling it with treats keeps your dog entertained for hours. Note: Zogoflex is safe and non-toxic.
Undoubtedly, this toy is similar to the Topple; more treat dispensers than slow feeders. For slow feeding, options include the Kong Wobbler, Keegud Puzzle Bowl, Livekey Snuffle Mats. Conversely, the Rumbl is an entertaining supplement to their main meal, and its bounciness makes it a fetching favorite.

Is the West Paw Rumbl Durable?
Made from Zogoflex, the Rumbl balances softness and durability. However, supervise power chewers. As Holly highlighted in the video, the Rumbl isn't impervious to damage. The great news is how great WestPaw stood behind their product. We are very impressed by the turn around time in getting her damaged Rumbl replaced.
Cleaning and Caring for Your West Paw Rumbl
Cleaning the West Paw Rumble is simple! Remarkably, the Rumbl is dishwasher-friendly, enduring numerous washes without damage.
What is the Biggest Downside of the Rumbl?
From using the West Paw Rumbl hundreds of times, there are 2 main complaints that our trainers have come across.
- Food Leakage Concern - Occasionally, food might seep from the Rumbl's small side hole before freezing. This could result in freezer messes, especially with wetter mixtures. A simple solution? Place parchment paper underneath the Rumbl during freezing.
- Stability Issues - The Rumbl's rounded base might cause it to topple in the freezer, leading to spills from its larger opening. This can sometimes freeze the Rumbl to the freezer's bottom. To prevent this, prop the Rumbl against freezer items for support.
Alternatives to the West Paw Rumbl
Other Dog Puzzle Toys
Rumbl Vs. Classic Kong
Comparing Rumbl and Classic Kong - While both the Rumbl and Classic Kong excel in entertaining dogs, we lean towards the Rumbl. Firstly, its broader opening simplifies loading and reduces the risk of dogs getting their tongue trapped. Conversely, Kong's edge lies in its diverse material options and size variety.
Other Slow Feeder Options
West Paw Toppl
Of Course we still love the Toppl we reviewed earlier this year! The Rumbl may be a little better with kibble vs Holly's and the rest of the internets delicious doggie desserts.
Kong Wobbler
The Kong Wobbler is considerably larger than the Rumbl and the Kong Classic, it allows you to put an entire meal in it. We consider it a cross between a slow feeder and a puzzle toy for your dog.
- The snuffle mat stimulates pets foraging instinct and satisfies sense of smell. Make your dogs nose and brain to work by mimicking the hunt for food.
- Hide your pet's food and treats in the sniff mat for dogs, encourage them to search it, to keep them busy when you needed.
- Multiple mats can be put together to be a big mat ! Your pet definitely like to play and search on the mat, just meet their curiosity. The mat is made of dense and sturdy fleece. Worth the money, do the job.
- The size of the dog feeding mat is 1717, which is convenient size size to store out of the way wehn not in use. And one mat is perfect for a small or medium sized dog.
- Easy to clean, hand wash and washer are both OK.
Snuffle Mat
A Snuffle Mat is a slow feeder enrichment tool for your dog. It keeps them busy and active while eating their food, while also slowing them down!
Does the Rumbl Float?
Indeed, the West Paw Rumbl floats, making it nice for water-loving dogs. Next time you head to the lake, bring along the Rumbl. It promises endless hours of aquatic fetch fun for your pooch.
