We purchased the year package and it has been the best decision we’ve ever made. Let me start off by saying he’s an English mastiff which are very big and strong dogs. Julia made us feel confident in our dog and he has grown into such a smart and well trained dog. We couldn’t have gotten were we are today without Julia’s help. She has so many techniques that I wouldn’t think to use. She’s knowledgeable, helpful, passionate and always looking out for what’s best for Odin and us. If we didn’t feel comfortable with something she would adjust the training to suit us and our dog. She’s very talented with dogs and we all know every dog is different and needs special attention in either one or more areas of learning. We will forever be a customer and recommended Suburban K9to anyone that needs help with their dog. Thank you for all your hard work and making our dog have structure but still be a dog!!! Lexi is the best! My pups responded so well to her training and I learned to identify things I was doing to make the dogs act certain ways. Lexi didn't just train my dogs, she trained me, too! I highly recommend Suburban K9. read lessLorie YauneyCan't speak highly enough about Regan and the entire staff at Suburban K9. Everything was so smooth with regard to scheduling through the front desk staff, payment options being clearly explained, and pricing structure making sense for just about any budget. You get what you pay for when it comes to training and these guys are the real deal. We're one week in to the 1 year program with Regan and our dutch shepherd absolutely loves her. Within the first week, he's already learned more from her than I ever imagined. Way better than the big-box pet supply stores who offer group classes. Thank you guys so much for helping us and our new puppy! read lessJ Ostrov

Our trainers were Maggie and Erin and they were wonderful! The training for our dog Teddy (doodle). Exceeded our expectations (greatly improved behavior in just 1 lesson). He has come a long way with the training he has received. Both Maggie an Erin were very knowledgeable with various training methods that can be used in different situations. Our dog loved our trainers and the other dogs used for socialization. We recommended Suburban K-9 to some of our friends who have been very happy with their training as well. Our trainers were able to explain dog psychology to us so we could better understand the behavior of our dog. Our trainers were accessible for any questions and very reliable.

We had 5 in home sessions with Nelson who helped us transform our crazy/anxious and sometimes aggressive American bulldog into a well mannered calm boy. Nelson was awesome at listening to our goals and providing us with the tools to make these things a reality. He went above and beyond to get our questions answered and his humorous/down to earth personality make him wonderful to work with. We are so thankful! read lessBrittany Hughes
OUR TRAINERS COME TO YOUR HOME!
Suburban K9 believes in-home training is simply more effective and convenient than many traditional classes. At home, we’re able to provide a deeper, more focused level of one-on-one attention—the gold standard in dog training. Our in-home training is an hour long to ensure we can make progress with each lesson. Here’s how we approach improving your pup’s behavior:
The first ten to fifteen minutes of the session are devoted to our trainers learning all about your dog. This is the time for you to discuss specific problems your dog is having. The more our trainers are able to learn, the better they can help.
The remainder of the session is devoted to training. Our professionals will show you how the training is done—instead of just telling you—and provide tips for practicing what you and your dog have learned.
Lessons end with the trainer assigning customized homework based on your dog’s goals. You’ll also be able to ask questions about anything and everything related to your dog. You can even contact your trainer after the session for no extra charge.
The best thing about in-home training is our ability to meet the needs of customers on a variety of budgets. Sometimes clients want us to focus on one or two behaviors, while others prefer a more complete package.
