FAQs

In-Home Dog Training

Do you offer a free consultation?

We utilize the first lesson in place of a traditional assessment/consultation. On that first lesson the trainer will go over your goals and determine a plan for your dog. They will also start working with your dog in that very first lesson. This tells us so much more about the dog than just meeting with you and talking. It gives us the ability to recommend the best possible scenario for working with your dog moving forward. Remember the first lesson is Risk-Free and if you aren’t happy you can get a full refund.

How much does it cost?

We have two easy ways to get exact pricing for our programs.  You can fill out a Price Request here and get an instant price, or you can call (866) 467-8259.

Can an In-Home appointment take place outside of my home?

Yes. In-Home appointments can take place anywhere that you are looking for help with your dog. This could be anywhere from a park, a pet store, or even just out and about in your neighborhood! We recommend that the first lesson start-off at your home so there will be a good place to talk through things.

What is a typical lesson like?

In the initial lesson your trainer will sit down and learn about your dog and their personality. They will also discuss the goals that your family has for your dog. We understand that every dog is different and every family has a different idea of what they are looking for from their dog. Once we have determined your goals we lay out a game plan and get to work on it right away. The trainer will work with your dog and show you the things that you need to work on. At the end of the lesson the trainer will provide you with homework to work on in-between lessons.

Should I plan to be home for the training?

It is best that everyone that will be involved in the training is present for at least the first lesson. After the first lesson there are options for you either being present or having us work with the dog when you are not home. You should talk with your trainer about which approach is best for your individual situation.

I have more than one dog. Can you train multiple dogs at the same time?

With In-Home training we can work with all the dogs in your home. Better yet, there is no additional charge for working with multiple dogs within a standard length lesson. If you have multiple dogs and extensive goals for each of them, the trainer might recommend adding on additional time to your lessons.

What do you mean by "risk-free program?"

We offer a Money Back Guarantee. If you aren’t happy with your first lesson, just let your trainer know and we will issue a full refund. If you decide to move forward with a package of lessons and at any point within the first 31 days determine the package isn’t for you, we will refund any unused lessons.

Board and Train Boot Camp

How much does it cost?

We have two easy ways to get exact pricing for our programs.  You can fill out a Price Request here and get an instant price, or you can call (866) 467-8259.

How many dogs does a trainer generally board and train?

Every one of our trainers has a different schedule, however it is generally 1-2 dogs at a time. This ensures that your dog has plenty of individual attention from the trainer.

This does mean that spaces are limited, especially around busy holiday periods. We generally book out 1-2 months in advance.

Will there be work when the dog comes home?

Yes. In order to ensure that your dog does well and retains what they have learned you will need to follow your trainer's recommendations and do daily homework/training time.

How long is your program?

We generally offer either 2 or 3 week Board and Trains to our new customers. If you would like, we do offer custom longer stays as well.

Do I need to drop my dog off?

We will pick them up and return them to your home, so no drop offs needed! In addition there are follow-up sessions that will also take place in the convenience of your home.

Where does my dog stay?

Your dog will stay in the home of one of our expert trainers. While staying with the trainer they will be treated like a member of the trainer’s family. They will sleep inside of a crate usually set up in a spare bedroom. The trainer will also have their personal dogs at home to help with socialization and other aspects of training.

What do you need to send with your dog?

Our trainers have everything needed for your dog's stay. The only thing you need to provide is plenty of food and your dog's bowl. You should send extra food as your pup will be very active during their Board and Train. Also make sure to provide any medication. If you would like to send a blanket or favorite toy, you are welcome to do so.
