Dog Chew Toys
Benebone
The pawplexer is a very interesting product and we plan a full review of this product on its own. It combines the classic benebone chew toy with the ability to place other treats/toys in the rubberized center. It is available in bacon flavoring only and is the only product we reviewed that comes in 3 sizes (small, medium, and large), although we don't really mind that because we don't recommend the tiny or giant benebones. From what we have seen so far of this product dogs seem to go after whatever you place in the center of the chew toy and then leave to chew toy behind to focus on the prize.
The Zaggler is probably our least favorite shape. It looks like a double sided top, but doesn't really look all that fun. It is probably best suited for dogs that are extremely hard chewers as the two ends of this shape are thicker than the other options. It comes in the same three flavors; Real Chicken, Bacon, and Peanut Butter as the Wishbone, which we would still recommend over the Zaggler.

The Dental Chew comes in the standard 3 flavors of the other options the shape resembles two handles with ribs on them. The ribs are good for helping clean your dogs teeth. However the overall shape is somewhat basic and we think the other options above are much better.
While a bone might be the most natural thing for a dog to chew on, the next is a stick. So Benebone offers the Maple Stick and the Bacon Stick. The names refer to the difference in flavor. The Maple is flavored with real maple wood, while the bacon is flavored with the same traditional bacon flavor of the wishbone and other shapes. Each end of the stick has a Y branch giving your dog plenty of chewing potential.
The fishbone resembles the body of a fish. Complete with head and tail, the body section is made up of 4 peg like bones. In our opinion this benebone offers the most chewing surface to your dog. They can chew on the head, tail, and each of the 4 individual bone sections. This offers the most longevity of any of the Benebone products. Fishbone comes in the most logical flavor of Salmon. Should I Crate Train my Puppy?
We wholeheartedly advocate for crating puppies when they're alone. Puppies often lack the impulse control to avoid chewing hazardous items, risking harm. In many cases, puppies ingest harmful objects, leading to surgeries and even fatalities. If someone opposes crating, it's entirely acceptable. Instead, they should bring their puppy everywhere or hire a sitter, just like they would for a young child. Just as you wouldn't leave a three-year-old child unattended in your home, the same applies to a young puppy. Safety and supervision are paramount.
