Alex is the Suburban K9 trainer serving the Madison Wisconsin area. Hawk is working on his off leash obedience in our training field. Towards the end of the video, Alex walks out of sight behind some pine trees to practice calling Hawk without being in his line of sight. This is a very important part of the training process. Many dogs only come when called when they can see their owner, and we strive to ensure that our training dogs will listen no matter what is occurring.
