I signed my almost 6 month old puppy for the 2 week board and train with LaShaunti. I was super hesitant at first to leave him but LaShaunti and Suburban K9 answered any and every question I had. LaShaunti sent pictures and updates every other day which was very comforting and so exciting to see the progress he was making. When my pup came back, he respected me so much more than before and listens so well. The prong collar was very helpful for this process. All in all, I highly recommend! LaShaunti was AMAZING!

After tons of research I found Suburban K9 and I’m so glad I did. I worked with Nick for serval months. We went from our puppy knowing only how to sit and shake to him learning all the basic commends (sit, stay, down, come) . Within weeks Archie was walking on a leash without pulling. It did take time for him to learn not to be reactive while on a leash but Nick took us to dog parks and inside malls and by the end of training Archie would be able to lay down as hundreds of people passed without any reaction. Nick provided us all the tools we needed to proceed with training so both of my dogs can be their best self. I appreciate all the time he took with them. I highly recommend using Nick to train your dog.

Before we reached out to Suburban K9, our puppy didn’t listen to us, didn’t let us eat without a fight or distraction, fought with our other dog pretty rough at times, and chewed up and destroyed several items in our house. Nick S. and his crew really transformed our puppy into a well behaved dog that listens to us now, she doesn’t fight with our other dog anymore, and we finally feel we have a calm house with our puppy’s behavior under control. We are super grateful for Nick’s training and the lessons we learned to keep our blue heeler puppy well behaved with us and others. She’s a great girl now and our lives are changed for the better. I cannot express how unbelievable the transformation was for my puppy with the work that Evan was able to do with him over first just the initial week training and then the discipline following for the year after. He went from biting, jumping and not following any basic demands, to a brand new, more calm walker, no puppy biting and ability to sit-stay for hours! We live in a building with a lot of puppies, who all showed up around the same time as mine and it was apparent immediately at Izzo's training vs the others. Evan was truly the best and Izzo loved working with him! Can't speak highly enough about this program, if you are hesitating don't, its well worth it for both you and your pup!

We have been so lucky to have worked with Suburban K9 for a year now. Sabrina our trainer has helped us navigate life with our puppy (now he’s over a year but still a pup in many ways). Kylo has grown immensely throughout the year. We still have some work to do but like I said; he’s still a pup! We love to see his growth in multi dog settings. He also gets to go to some fun public outings that really help him use all of his training techniques that he has been taught. Thankful for what we have been taught to continue Kylo’s training at home. Looking forward to future lessons and trainings for Kylo and our future pup.

I found Suburban K9 while doing research on where to go after completing a basic puppy course. While I had a puppy that knew basic commands I was looking to have a puppy with training beyond this basic commands. I wanted a puppy that could go out in public and be a perfect citizen and not a nuisance. After my first meeting I knew this was the place for me. We were at our wits end with our new puppy Rafa. He was not potty trained and was nipping at me all of the time. He stayed with Jessica for 2weeks and came home a changed dog. I called Suburban K9 about our 7-month-old puppy who had a number of behavioral issues. We needed help with potty training, being able to control her while walking, stopping her from biting things and staying off the counters among other things. The company was great to work with from the start. They answered all my questions and there was no pressure to sign up for anything. We ended up selecting the 2-week Board and Train program for our girl and she came back to us a new woman! I was barely able to control her on our walks prior to the training. Any dog, bike, person, etc. she came across had her pulling me towards them and then she consistently jumped on the people and dogs with it being hard for me to get her down. After her training, we are now able to control her and take pleasant walks with her. Our trainer, Kayla, is excellent. She took a lot of time when she came to pick up our dog to explain the approach they take when working with their boarders and exactly what her days would be like. She kept us informed regularly of progress made and we were very comfortable entrusting our dog to her. When our pup returned home, Kayla took a lot of time teaching us the commands and techniques we need to continue to let her know that we are her leader. Besides the major change during our walks, she now understands what “no” means when we let her know that what she is doing inside the house is not acceptable and in general, we have seen such a great improvement. I highly recommend Suburban K9 and Kayla to train a dog of any age that you need help with!
