Major Kudos to Rebecca, the trainer of my 5 year old crazy Boxer, Layla! She was able to transform my wild & crazy gal into a completely different dog. Now I feel that I am in control of Layla, rather than the other way around. Rebecca’s tenacity & patience finally brought Layla to a level where I am able to have her with me around friends & family! Without fear that someone might get hurt due to the dog’s incredible energy & power. I now have a toolbox of commands & techniques with which I work to maintain this new, smooth relationship with my fabulous, spirited doggie! We continue our monthly check-ins with Rebecca & Biscuit, & it is always a pleasure! I understand now that there are other dog owners out there with beautiful beasts under their care who just need that extra mile of training. Rebecca has successfully brought this to our dog, & I gladly recommend that anyone seeking more control of their canine should talk with Suburban K-9 about a training plan. We are so happy that we choose Rebecca from Suburban K9 for a 2 week board and train for our 15 month old golden retriever Ellie. Ellie had a severe leash biting problem, which nothing we tried helped. She would bite / tug the leash when frustrated or excited, which escalated into her jumping and biting our arms and hands arms hard. Rebecca worked hard at correcting Ellie’s behavior. She was tough on Ellie - setting clear boundaries. When Ellie returned, she walked perfectly on the leash in a heel and the leash biting issue was gone. Rebecca trained her in several different locations, practicing down stays and other commands. Our relationship with our dog has improved so much from just 2 short weeks with Rebecca. She was a wonderful communicator and sent almost daily updates, along with pictures and videos. This made us feel reassured that our dog was in good care. Rebecca took good care of our dog and we couldn’t recommend her enough. Her approach was very much customized to our dogs specific needs.

Not all of my puppy’s problems were solved in two weeks, but the trainer continued to work with us. She never gave up or gave in, and the dog is better for the experience. I now know how to continue working with the pup on my own. It’s an excellent program. It trains the human and the animal how to be a team….which is everything you want in having a pet.

We took a risk and invested in 3 weeks with Rebecca of SuburbanK9 for our toy poodle. It totally payed off to improve the dogs and our quality of life. Here is a list of issues solved: Sit command, stay, come, down, heal, rest (2-3 hours), pocketbook (dog bag in restaurants etc (2-3 hours). Follow up training is excellent as it’s us now that needs training! Miso loved her time with Rebecca because she is ecstatic to see her at follow-ups. Miso was exposed to Loews, loud noises, many breeds of dogs and conquered all this fears, as well. Great investment that will last the long life of this 10 mos old puppy. Just do the math! PS: WE LOVE REBECCA, she is kind, gentle, patient and an incredible trainer of this process.

Working with Saburban K9 has been a game changer for my willful pomsky. The Siberian Husky blood is strong in my Nino. But thanks to Rebecca, Nino and I now have a clear communication and more respectful relationship. I highly recommend Saburban K9 and I hope to work with Rebecca again to address Nino's separation anxiety.

Our Suburban K9 dog trainer Rebecca Webb has been absolutely amazing with our 2 very anxious Border Collies. She’s worked miracles with them. Jose was the trainer that we worked with and he was absolutely amazing! Our puppy Gracie follows commands and is very well behaved after working with Jose. I attended puppy class here. This is a traditional puppy class where they teach you how to work with your puppy, as well as teaching you timing and techniques with training. They work on the traditional sit, down, stand, and here as well as getting the puppy acclimated to other dogs and people. What also happens is that the trainer takes opportunities to help train behavior when it arises, such as barking, or jumping so if you pay attention (which is kind of difficult at times) you can pick up a lot of tips and tricks to training your dog. The class finishes with getting the AKC Puppy STARS certificate. This class was great and starts you off on the right foot with your puppy.

Jose has done a great job training our dog. Our dog is 6 and we got him during Covid so he never had proper training. Jose was able to give us commands and tools to help our dog become less reactive and better behaved.

Our experience with Suburban K9 dog training was way beyond expectation. Our dog is 12 years old, and our biggest complaint was how much she barked and annoyed people when they came to our house. I had more time to address this problem because I recently semi-retired (in case you are asking, as many did, what took you so long?) Our trainer Jose was probably key to why things went so well, as he has a kind and calm manner with dogs, and people! After the first day Goldie knew how to heel on a walk. After our second session, we were able to sit in our living room with food, and Goldie stayed away from it! The first time we had a dinner party, everyone commented on how different she was. We have lots more we need to do to maintain what she las learned, but I would not hesitate to recommend this training.

Our 8 month old doberman pup was a real handful. We had taken her to puppy classes and had several trainers come to the house to help, but couldn't get her under control. She pulled hard on the leash, jumped on people walking past and growled and lunged at other dogs. We signed up for 2 weeks with Jose from K9 Training and had an incredible experience. I was worried about turning our puppy over but she got incredible care. Jose was firm, but kind and loving. He sent videos and photos almost every day of her training progress and we just couldn’t believe how quickly she seemed to “get it”. I can’t say enough about how terrific the training techniques were. The post boarding trainings back at our home gave us all the tools we needed to keep her moving along. I can’t begin to tell you how relaxing it is to have her not pull and walk right past other dogs. She greets other walkers/hikers without jumping and is much better behaved in our home as well. I highly recommend K9 Training and Jose!

My twice surrendered shelter pup, Bentley, had some major behavioral issues including a bad habit of nipping/mouthing anything and everything. 5 home sessions with Surburban K9 trainer, Pedro, and Bentley is much improved. The constant nipping/mouthing has been corrected, and Bentley has happily learned to heel, sit, lie down, stay, and come. A total success story!
