My Boston Terrier's and I had the joy of working with Remi! Not only did my girls love her, but she explained to me why it was important for them to learn each command. I learned along with the pups and the results show. I can actually have company over without chaos. Remi changed our life for the better and we're so blessed to have worked with her!

We loved working with Remi M., to train our dog, Remy! Remi was professional, always on time, loved our dog, and made it easy on me and Remy to be successful. Our dog is a very friendly Golden Doodle who gets excited when guests visit. He is great, but can be a lot if you are not a "dog person". We have family members who are not used to dogs, so we had a goal of having Remy behave well enough to make everyone comfortable at our Thanksgiving celebration. After just 8 lessons with Remi M., our dog knew enough commands to stay in his "place", greet people calmly and we had a wonderful family celebration! We highly recommend Suburban K9, and Remi M., in particular!

I have worked with Remi at suburban K9 Nashville since April of 2023. We will be finishing up our sessions this month. After just 2 months of working with them biweekly, I knew that it was worth the investment. My dogs are a part of my family and now that they can behave and I can listen to their cues as they do mine, we can live in peace. I lost my husband to a work accident when I was 6 months pregnant. Left a single mom of a 7 year old and a newborn, but also 3 dogs. It was so stressful, to say the least. I’m forever grateful to have found suburban k9 as they have been so accommodating to my family when things come up and I have to move appointments last minute or if I had to let them take the lead on the training session to tend to my newborn. I would absolutely recommend suburban k9 to anyone with dogs. It doesn’t matter if they are a puppy or senior! Suburban k9 will change your life and your furry friends lives.

Remi from Suburban K-9 did a fantastic job with my rescue dog Forrest. She taught him manners inside the home and to pay attention to me while outside. Forrest has 2 Jack Russell brothers that she has also “tamed” a bit. I highly suggest Remi and any trainer through Suburban K-9, they know there business! Tamara Wallace

I have a 6 month old female Doberman (Stella) with lots of energy! I chose the two week board and train program and Remi was the trainer who worked with Stella. She did an amazing job! Stella is well mannered and disciplined. She walks great on a leash and we are now working on off leash walking. I highly recommend Remi with Suburban K9 to train your dog! What a difference she has made

I've worked with Trainers Brooke and Remi for my dog, Ronan. Before training he was hyperactive and couldn't sit still, along with having strong separation anxiety. They also graciously allowed my other dog, Gaston, to sit in on lessons. Both Brooke and Remi helped Ronan learn to control his impulsive behavior and his anxiety has decreased significantly. In the past, I was nervous taking Ronan out to Home Depot due to his reactive behaviors of wanting to mouth and jump on people. Now, I can take both dogs out in public and not have a nervous breakdown myself due to fear of Ronan wanting to greet someone a little too strongly. Ronan used to become hysterical when his "brother Gaston" was not included in activities. Now Ronan has become more independent and can go on walks by himself without worrying about his brother. Brooke and Remi have been a blessing to our family, my husband and I can now host get-together with family and friends again without worrying about Ronan and his chaotic energy wanting to jump on everyone. I strongly recommend working with Suburban K9 and especially trainers Brooke and Remi because our furry wild child has gained confidence and learned to be his own individual. Gaston also says thanks because he can now play with his toys without Ronan snatching them away. Thanks for everything, Brooke and Remi!!!!!

We could not have asked for a better training experience, result, and all-around relationship with Remi (Nashville). They are so good at what they do. Calvin is a 3yo double merle Aussie who is deaf. He boarded/trained at Remi's house and likely never wanted to come home! Our main goal for Calvin was to be brought up to a baseline that we could then work with. We've had many dogs before but now with two young kids our bandwidth for proper training and socialization was gone! Remi quickly learned who Calvin is as an individual doggo and brought out his very best self. We LOVED the frequent updates and photos, especially over his Gotcha Day, Christmas, and New Year's. All those milestones we missed but knew he was in the best hands. He has returned home with so much more confidence in being able to self-correct, self-regulate, and communicate his needs to us in healthier, more appropriate ways. Best of all, we received an amazing, customized manual and training so that we can be his best humans. We are looking forward to continuing sessions so we can stay on top of this awesome growth and Calvin can hang with his favorite Remi. Thank you so much, Remi and Suburban K9! UPDATED: Absolutely still 5 stars and wanted to add how much we have appreciated Remi working so intentionally with our two young kiddos. Remi has gone above and beyond helping ensure our whole family is fluent in what's best for Calvin. Thanks to Calvin's immense progress the kids are very capable in helping walk and play training games with Calvin.

We adopted a Whoodle pup named Lily - our first puppy experience. We’ve had dogs before - but not puppies. Lily seriously tested our limits, and we realized we needed professional help to integrate her into our lives. We found Remi McGinnis and Suburban K9, and are so glad we did! Remi is a dog whisperer and she has done a fabulous job. She reads dogs very well and has a deep understanding of their personalities and behavior. We highly recommend Remi McGinnis and we're very grateful for all she has done for Lily and for us!

Let me start by saying my trainer Remi McGinnis was the perfect match for my dog, Lucky! I only had my rescue Lucky, a 1.5 year old Pomeranian, for about 2 months when I decided to get him some professional training. I did some research and found Suburban K9. I signed him up for 10 training sessions to get the discount! I also later put him in the 2 week Board and Train on the farm program Suburban K9 offers. Lucky's story is mostly unknown, but he had a lot of bad behaviors. Among them are he was a nervous hand-biter, he couldn't be picked up, he couldn't walk a straight line, he wouldn't come when called and he was a barker. My decision to invest in his training was the best thing I could have done for him and myself! Remi recommended we use an e-collar on Lucky because of how stubborn he can be and for his barking. This doesn't hurt the dog as it uses e-stem and is very complimentary with the training. It worked wonders on him and he responded very well to Remi's other professional training techniques. The Board and Train program was awesome for Lucky! He got to train with other dogs which he loved! Remi gave him lots of one on one attention teaching him commands on and off leash while wearing the e-collar. He learned so much, and it translated to home life which was very exciting for me to see! After all the sessions and the 2 week Board and Train on the farm with Remi, Lucky is like a whole new dog! One of the things I like about Remi's training is that I learned a lot, too! For example, Remi taught me to use treats on a limited basis, and to also use words of encouragement and lovingly pet him. Lucky especially is motivated by affection and adoration as he is a rescue and needs lots of confidence building! Lucky loves Remi very much and Remi loves him! Being so impressed with the level of professional training and skill, I have signed him up for 10 more sessions for more work on his commands and off-leash work! I highly recommend Suburban K9 and, specifically, Remi McGinnis!!!

OMG what an awesome group and people. They have so changed our lives and Daisy. So smart, so honest and so together. I could not recommend them more. Look no further. Remi is amazing:)

Remi was amazing with our very stubborn Westie pup. Boomer now sits and comes on command. We can take him anywhere and he’s such a good boy.

Brooke and Remi did such a great job with Chief. They spent the time with him and got to know his personality to get the best out of him. The knowledge they have about training and dog psychology cannot be beat. They spent the time and trained me also so Chief could be the best he could be. I would reccomend Surburban K9 to anyone looking to take care of their fur babies.Being able to take Chief out into the public and be confident in myself and Chief puts both of us at ease and able to enjoy life.

Remi is incredible. She loves and understands herding dogs and taught my dogs and me enough to make our excursions fun for all of us. My Border Collie was good on a leash until we added an Aussie to our family. Together they were awful until Remi helped us. On our last hike they were complimented on their behavior TWICE! Before Remi I was embarrassed by my inability to control my dogs. My dogs love Remi and I am forever grateful for our newfound communication skills.

Our trainer, Remi McGinnis, was attentive to the needs and quirks of our pet as well as my own needs as the owner with slight mobility issues. We did a few lessons prior to our Board and Train which was very important. It gave Rocky a running start with his intensive training and allowed him to get comfortable with Remi before being left in her care for several days. Remi worked with him in the company of other dogs and their trainers. That was an added bonus. He is now comfortable around all sizes of dogs. He is still an exuberant, joyous, small dog but so much easier to live with. He is continuing to work on his commands. He struggles with Stay but he is calmer in the house and very attentive to me when we are away from home. I cannot recommend Suburban K9 and my trainer, Remi, enough.

Remi was an amazing trainer with our new puppy, Bama. They were communicative, kind, and informative. They were also great at our follow-up appointments in continuing to work with us and give tips and tricks for how we can be consistent with him. Would highly recommend Suburban K9 to anyone looking for training for their dogs!

After my first consult hour with K9 I instantly knew I had found trainers that were going to be a game changer - Aspen is my first pup and I had as much to learn as she did. Remi has taught us both obedience and body handling, but also ensures I am aware of Aspen's mental health every step of the way. Remi kept me up to date regularly throughout the 2 weeks of board and train which allowed me to understand just how much it takes to get results. I particularly value when they explain a correction or next step from Aspen's point of view - this has given me great perspective! No question is unanswered, and we are always met with excitement which makes us super happy to show up to training.

If I could give them 6 stars I would! Working with Remi on our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever has been amazing. Remi has been wonderful to work with and extremely responsive to any of my questions. I was concerned in the beginning to learn to use an e collar with our dog because he is such a sensitive soul. Remi showed me how it can be used as a great tool for training and distance with is what we wanted for our boy. They took all of the scary thoughts about shocking my dog and being mean and educated me about proper gentle training and keeping it fun for him to learn. Because a happy engaged dog learns so much faster and wants to work with you as its leader. Thanks Remi I can’t wait to see where we take Shorsey for our next sessions!

I reached out to Suburban K9 to help me with my one-year-old baby. It took me a while to accept the fact that asking for help didn't make me a bad dog mom. I needed a professional's help to advance her to the next level of obedience. I access professionals every day. Why not help with training? The process of setting everything up couldn't have been smoother. The company is very professional and efficient. I spoke on the phone with the trainer, Kaitlyn. She explained how things worked and what I could expect. Then it came time to send my baby away for two weeks to someone I really didn't know... Kaitlyn came to our house to pick her up. I instantly felt that Kaitlyn would be loving yet firm with my baby. She regularly sent me pictures and provided updates on the training. On the first day, she sent a picture of my dog and her dog sitting at a stop sign with no one holding them! I thought, "Is this my dog?". I was always scared to let her off leash for fear she would run away to explore. There were other particular behaviors that I felt needed to be particularly worked on, like barking at my husband and I when we were eating dinner. Kaitlyn and I discussed them, and she focused on them in her training. We were so excited to have her back home after two weeks. She really learned a lot during her time with Kaitlyn. I will say the key is you being consistent when your dog gets home. You need run the dog through the training several times each day. You've made an investment; you need to get the most out of it. It is great that Kaitlyn comes back several times. The dog will test you, so Kaitlyn definitely reminds her that the handler is the alpha here! These sessions also provided me with the confidence I needed! I would whole-heartedly recommend Kaitlyn and Suburban K9 to anyone!
