Liliana Carpano

I started working with Liliana after having a terrible experience with a previous trainer. We adopted a puppy, Otto, over Covid, and not realizing it, we started him off on the wrong foot, as he wasn’t getting exposed to enough outside people and dogs. Once Covid was over we knew we had a problem. Liliana had Otto in hand wishing 10 minutes of meeting him, and through love and discipline, had him straightened out in short order. It was magical to watch what he and our other dog were capable of doing. Of course, part of any dog training is training the people, too. I’ve learned to set firmer boundaries, and now that they are both responding better to corrections, it’s easier to keep my expectations high. Both our dogs LOVE Liliana and we do, too! My dog walker has reported that walking them is the best part of her day, mostly because they know how to heel perfectly and are very responsive to corrections. I have recommended Suburban K9 to friends and neighbors unreservedly.

Liliana is an amazing trainer at K9 dog training & I highly recommend working with her! My 4 year old dog had a lot of behavior problems that made it difficult for me to have guests in my home. Within 4 sessions my dog is so well behaved and much more calm. I’m amazed at the difference in her behavior and so grateful for Liliana’s expertise. It felt like Liliana cared just as much as I did about my dogs success and reaching the goals that I had for her behavior changes. In our first session she asked me many questions to help clarify what my true goals were for our 5 sessions together. I feel those goals have been met since we started working together and I’m very grateful for the time, care, and skills that Liliana brought to each session.

Thank you Liliana for helping with training for Chulo and Scooter so far! In the months that we’ve worked together Chulo is able to be pet by strangers which I never thought was possible. I’m able to have peaceful walks and have knowledge to continue working on my dogs training in between training sessions. Looking forward to continue working together!

Liliana from Suburban K9 really changed my relationship with my dog. I got him as a puppy and as he grew, it became obvious the he was going to be strong and stubborn. I was getting really frustrated with his pulling on walks. So based on a personal recommendation from his daycare, I called. He has grown into a gorgeous lovebug. He's still feisty but he listens to commands and he's a joy to have in public. I love showing him off because he really helps to educate people about how gentle pitbull type dogs really are. Liliana is an outstanding instructor. I have had four wonderful dogs during my adult life that had trainers who were good but none can I call professional: like Liliana. I have extended my program with her since I enjoy her teaching (not to mention my dog) and working with her. She is an asset to K-9.

we had a trainers Rebecca and Lilliana come help with our 11 month old golden doodles reactivity to the TV and out the window and it has been SO much better since. I was really happy to confirm that they use the same foundations in balanced dog training that we had already being working on with our pup. they fine tuned our technique and made sure we were both doing the same things with correction and desensitization. He is walking better and I was able to watch a movie without being on edge with him for the first time in a few months. I would definitely recommend them!

I started working with Suburban K9 Dog Training when I was about to re-home my Bernadoodle. He was so much stronger and bigger than we expected and he was running the household. It was clear Liliana loved dogs and she was an expert in K9 behavior. We bought a package for in home training and trained each week. Ozzie began to behave and was an ace in basic commands but still a major challenge for me at 69 years old. I did board and train with Liliana for 3 weeks and what a turnaround in my 10 month old Ozzie. He is a different dog, no longer reactive to other dogs and he's now part of the family. He burns his excess energy off on a treadmill and a pleasure to have. A remarkable difference after three weeks of board and train. Thank you Liliana! We are so grateful to you!

We had a wonderful experience with Liliana at Suburban K9 training.When we first started, Morty was chewing everything, pulling at the leash, and not listening. By the end of the training, he was the perfect puppy. We all looked forward to our training sessions with Liliana, who was patient, knowledgeable, and very good at answering all of our questions. Now we have a very well trained fun dog. I would definitely recommend Suburban K9 Dog training.

Awesome experience! Purchased a package for my mother's reactive dog last year and ended up getting my dog sessions as well. My mother's dog was reactive to everything from people to dogs and even loud sounds. Suburban K9 trainer, Liliana, worked with my mother's dog through each of her triggers and did an incredable job. Now my mother's dog is more confident in social situations. If she does have an episode of reactivity, which has been less than infrequent, she is now redirectable, instead of laser focused, when stressed. For my dog, he no longer is a menace to walk with on the leash and counter surfing for food is a thing of the past!

Had the best experience! Absolutely recommend. Lily is so skilled. She turned a chaotic 4 dog household into a calm, pleasant, safe and fun 4 dog household. And icing on the cake - Lily is also personable, kind, compassionate and understanding. She knows exactly how to teach pet owners and pets while having fun.

Liliana, from the Philadelphia area, worked with our Corgi puppy. After just one lesson, he was walking well on the leash and heeling. It didn’t take long for him to learn come, sit, stay and more. His training made such a difference and I can’t thank Liliana and Suburban K9 enough! When we added a second puppy, a shihtzu, she worked with her too and again, made such a difference in the pup’s behavior. Thank you!!!

Liliana and Frank at Suburban K9 have been amazing! Their love of and knowledge about dogs and training is unmatched. We have been working with Liliana regularly for over a year to help our sweet but sensitive pup Boogie with his separation anxiety. She’s helped him (and us!) immensely, working through crate training, his travel/carrier bag and obedience drills. Most recently, her and Frank even helped us treadmill train him for rainy days. We couldn’t recommend more!

I'm so glad that I found Suburban K-9 last year! We tried a lot of different trainers and training techniques after rescuing our 100 lb hound/boxer mix 10 years ago, but have never been able to have any consistent success helping him to overcome anxiety and behavioral issues. We thought that getting him a friend might help, but instead his issues seemed to rub off on the golden retriever puppy that we adopted, so instead of a happy family we ended up with double trouble. They would bark at anything that moved outside, jump all over company that came into the house, and just trying to walk them together was near impossible 🙁 That all changed last year when they met Liliana though! She was able to quickly assess the situation and formulate a plan to gradually get them both to be much more obedient (which allows us to do more with them and ultimately make everybody happy). She has an amazing knack at being firm and demanding their respect, but in a friendly way that had them jumping up and down with excitement every time they saw her! The boys are still far from perfect, but they have come so far and Liliana has given us an entire arsenal of tools to use with them going forward.
