Liliana began attending university, it didn’t take long for her to realize she was far more passionate about her part-time job of walking dogs than she was about the degree she was studying. That passion only grew as she remained in the pet industry and eventually began fostering rescues. Her love for animals and desire to help people led her to Suburban K9, where she hopes to help keep dogs in their homes and educate others about animal welfare.
After over a year of fostering, Liliana adopted her first dog, Valerie who she has trained for involvement in therapy work and sports. Liliana also adopted Amadeus the Double Merle Australian Shepherd who is deaf and has partial vision imparement. This had created a new passion for Liliana, the care and training of hearing impared dogs. Even Liliana’s cats get to join in on the training fun, and one of them is harness trained and can perform a variety of tricks!
When she’s not working with animals or reading about animal behavior and training, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and exploring. Other days she can be found rock climbing, cooking, baking, dabbling in art, writing, playing piano, and traveling whenever and wherever possible.
