Doug discovered his passion for animals at a very young age. Growing up he was always surrounded by a full household of furry friends. There was never a moment that he wasn’t teaching them new tricks or taking them on adventures to the local dog park.
Fast forward many years later and he found himself working with dogs overseas during his time in the military. He was completely fascinated by their capabilities when properly trained and it pushed him to move into the canine world. After coming home he started working in the field training and handling working dogs for explosive and firearm detection. He received multiple certifications, including NAPWDA and 3PK9, over the past couple of years and truly found his life calling training man’s best friend.
When he is not engaged with his four-legged friends, Doug loves to immerse himself in video games, motorcycles, and design work for his 3D printers. He also keeps himself busy with his two rescue dogs: a husky named Shadow and a dachshund-beagle mix named Dunkin, his various reptiles, and arachnids.
