Alicia has loved animals her entire life and grew up surrounded by them, which sparked her passion for understanding their behavior and building strong connections with them. In 2025, Alicia pursued an Associate of Arts degree with a focus in psychology. Her studies in motivation and behavior deepened her understanding of how dogs think and learn.
For three years, Alicia worked as a pet care specialist in a pet store, where she gained hands-on experience with animals of all kinds while developing strong communication skills with pet owners. She also spent many years pet sitting and dog walking.
One of her proudest accomplishments has been working with her own dog, Layla, a 6-year-old mini Goldendoodle whom she got shortly before COVID. Helping Layla overcome reactivity challenges inspired Alicia’s interest in balanced dog training and reinforced her belief in patience, structure, and clear communication.
Outside of work and school, Alicia enjoys hiking, cooking, singing, and fishing. At home, she shares her life with Layla, Buddy, and her 3-year-old Green Cheek Conure, Pickles. She’s excited to continue growing in the dog training field and to help owners build strong, trusting relationships with their dogs.
