Michelle is a lifesaver!! My family and I welcomed a new Great Dane puppy named Willow. We had extreme aggravation with potty training and obedience and finally made the decision to bring in the professionals. That is where Michelle came in and completely transformed not just Willow but our lives as well! From pick up day to the day Willow came home the experience was nothing short of amazing. Willow was now a beautiful, calm and obedient dog. Potty training improved immensely and simple things like walking, sitting and laying down were a breeze. No longer are friends and family hesitant to come to our home to see us in fear that a 85 pound puppy would jump on them. Without Michelle and the folks at Suburban K9 we would have given up. Thanks to Michelle we didn’t have to! 5/5 stars!! Highly recommend! There is no one who can do it better than her. Thank you Michelle!

I received a very special German shepherd puppy at Christmas. He was quite a wild man, so I knew I needed a trainer. After researching quite a bit , I settled on Suburban K9. They put my pup and I in the hands of Michelle Cook. We did a 2 week board and train. I could not believe what Michelle accomplished in such a short time. I tell everyone she embodies the true meaning of a dog whisperer. You don’t reach the level of success Michelle had with Melkor and me without having a dedicated compassion and strong understanding of all the subtle clues a dog can give. She built so much trust through consistency and patience with both of us. I highly recommend Suburban K9 and Michelle Cook. I’ve even extended my time with her by adding an at home package. Brooke was super helpful with our 10 year old dog. When we found out we were having twins we were worried about how he would react with all the change when they arrive. He is a very anxious dog and stubborn but Brooke gave us useful tools even for an older dog! She even gifted the twins a one year birthday gift and of course a gift for our dog who definitely didn’t make her job easy at times lol! So sweet, highly recommend even if you think old dogs can’t learn new tricks!

Brooke from Suburban K-9 is the best dog trainer in Pittsburgh. I had established goals for the dog training and Brooke exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend Brooke. You will get a more behaved dog with Brooke. Also, Brooke is a pleasure to work with along with her deep knowledge of dog training.

Used suburban k9 and Michelle was amazing! My dog came back from bootcamp completely transformed. She listens to all her commands and they were so supportive with our after classes. If you have a new canine edition you can’t go wrong with suburban k9 and make sure you ask for Michelle she truly did an exceptional job.

Winston was full of anxiety and never leashed trained. We moved from a house to an apartment full of dogs, kids and strange noises. I had Winston go for the three week boot camp. Michelle was amazing! Winston now is able to walk on a leash and socialize with new people and new dogs. He continues to well on his commands. I highly recommend Suburban K9. The cost is worth every penny!!!! Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!!!!!!

When we got our 6 year old Morkie, Henry, it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, he came with less than perfect bonding skills and manners towards our extended families and their dogs. Much to our concern, we thought our only option would be to re-home Henry. Out of desperation, we called Suburban K9 and purchased the 10 visit home training package. Our training team, Brooke and Michelle were confident that Henry could be taught the skills he needed to become part of our family. Their plan was to start at the beginning and teach him basic skills (which he knew, but did not know how to apply them in different situations) So “sit, stay, walk, down, come commands” were demonstrated to us and we practiced these commands with our dog all week. By the next lesson, Henry was eager to demonstrate his new skills and happy for the challenge of learning his next lesson. Henry blossomed into a loving, disciplined and happy dog. Our extended family now welcomes him around their children ( three children under 5 and their dogs) And best of all, Henry has won a permanent place in our home! The program is amazing and the instructors are definitely dog people who genuinely care about each dog, recognize the dog’s strengths and weaknesses and teach each family how to progress positively each week! We have had many dogs throughout our lifetime and always thought we could train them. We cannot fully express the depth of skill, knowledge and patience that the trainers brought to us. We would absolutely recommend Suburban K9.

Brooke was amazing with all 3 of our dogs. She had them sit stay heal in the first day! We also purchased 2 different training collars from her that have been useful in keeping our farm dogs in check when we went to do reminder lessons. Brooke was also great with our 10 year old son, she got on his level and taught him how he could train his dog, and that no matter his dogs size, he could still be the boss man and teach his pup to respect boundaries and listen.

We don’t have enough great things to say about our experience with Suburban K9 and more importantly our trainer Lexi! Our new pup was having the normal puppy issues everyone would expect but he was very stubborn and wasn’t listening to us as well as we would have liked. We sent Farley to Lexi for 2 weeks and he came back a changed guy!! He listens to all his commands and more importantly doesn’t chew everything in sight (including us!). He is the most loving and best gentle giant we could’ve imagined and I wouldn’t change a thing! The videos, pictures, and updates we got were such an amazing touch as well! If you’re considering at home training (or any training) we 10/10 recommend Suburban K9 and Lexi!!!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!! Lexi was absolutely outstanding with her patience and love for our babies. As I'm sure every household has their squabbles, the one between Penny and Jack left everyone with fear that they would not be able to remain brother and sister as they were for 2 years prior to their unforeseen disagreement that led to injuries. Being dog owners for years, you think you know ALOT about them.... Until Lexi stepped in. Her knowledge, experience and patience has not only guided Penny and Jack but has given ALL OF US the knowledge and guidance to ensure they reside together happily and safely. She was truly AMAZING & WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

Alexis is/was wonderful with my Rottweiler. She handle him with great care and he is a handful. He has progressed tremendously under her guidance and assistance. The guidelines she gave us are very direct and adjusted his behavior for the better. I would recommend Alexis to anyone that has a large breed dog. She is greatly skilled and has a direct plan for my rottie. I would expect and almost guarantee she has a plan of action for each dog she has been tasked with training. I would 100% recommend Alexis to anyone needing assistance with a difficult large breed dog. Trust me Cassius was on death row before she assisted us with his behavior. I am personally impressed with Alexis professionalism and skill with the dog. Please accept my deep thanks and appreciation. Mike Mullen

We cannot say enough good things about Lexi & Suburban K-9. We had previously tried other trainers/ facilities but they did not help with our reactive dog at all. We were feeling pretty hopeless and frustrated when we came across Suburban K-9. We started to see change and progress within our first lesson with Lexi and Dutch is a completely different dog now. We never thought we would be able to take him to a brewery with other dogs and enjoy a beer, but we recently went to not one but two breweries that had at least 6 other dogs and he was awesome. Our quality of life has improved 100x because of Lexi. We actually enjoy going on walks now where we used to absolutely dread them because Dutch's reactivity was so severe. We're so appreciative for all of the effort and hard work Lexi put in to helping us, and so is Dutch 🙂 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Alexis Johnson started training our 4 month Bella Mia in our home She is a fantastic trainer the difference in our puppy is unbelievable We also learned a lot from Alexis she is very prompt and competent and sweet we could not have gotten a better trainer Thank you very much

Lexi far exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend. Here unique approach she had with our two pups, a German shepherd and a Rottweiler, worked miracles for them/us. Thanks to Lexi we have two very obedient pups.

I highly recommend Lexi and her team. When she came to our home to train our dogs they didn’t listen to well but after the training with Lexi and her team the difference we see in our dogs are night and day. They no longer jump on anyone when they enter the house. They don’t excessively bark outside anymore. They are very much changed dogs. She worked extremely hard on behavioral issues they had and explained why it was happening in a very easy way to understand.Lexi and her team where always professional.I would recommend suburban k9 to anyone for any training needs.Thank you Lexi you have made penny and jack so happy.

She evaluated my dogs and figured out the perfect training plan for each. Alexis taught me more about dogs and training than I ever knew before. She listened to the problem, worked with me so I could learn, and helped my dogs immensely with impeccable training. Now I can proudly say that they have made incredible strides and are the best trained dogs I've ever had.
