Suburban K9 and specifically Twila have been amazing. Our puppy loves her and has learned so much in a short amount of time. We used the train and stay for a week and then have been getting weekly at home visits. My pup is a bit nervous so not having to leave the house makes it all the better. Thanks for caring about your job and others Twila, it shows and we appreciate you!!

Twila was awesome. Our high anxiety new dog, Denver, benefitted tremendously from the training. Even our old girl, Perry, found she has a few things to learn.

We did the 10 lesson house visit 1-on-1 training and it has been great. Gracie is patient with us, new dog owners, and our young beagle responds well to her training.

Amy did a fabulous job with my dog. She is more comfortable around strangers, walks on heel and walks with me when I ride my bike.

We have a German Shepard puppy that is very energetic, playful and would not listen. She is very loving but we could not enjoy her as a family they way we wanted because she was hard to handle. We decided to do a board and train for our puppy and Amy and Twila were the best trainers we could have had. They understood what we wanted as a family and each of us individually and what our goal was as far as being able to have our pup with us on family activities.They worked with our pup in a carrying way and kept us informed on her progress. After the two week training was done and they dropped off our pup, we could immediately see the improvement. They worked with us to show us how to work with our pup and make sure that we were able to execute all the commands and how to correct any misbehavior. We are extremely please with their work and the follow up visits. They were great at answering any questions we had and make sure we are comfortable with how we handle our pup. We would definitely use them again if we got another dog.

A very pleasant experience! They're so skilled that they train K9s without using treats. From an annoying, exuberant, food motivated dog, our Oakley came out to be a good-mannered, obedient dog. We are super happy with the results. Thank you all for your patience and for teaching me and my son on how to handle Oakley. Sending him to Suburban K9 boot training was a worthy investment to give us and our dog a happy life together.

Twila ia a very patient and very positive influence on my Westie, Wee Jock. Jock is smart, but also independent and self-assured. After a group of sessions with Twila, he actually listens to me now and looks to me for direction. I couldn't be happier with Suburban K9. Jock and I will continue with Suburban when we are in our new home in a few months.

Rose at Suburban K9 is the best! I enrolled my puppy, Frankie, in the 2 week board/train program with Rose. Frankie came back so well behaved and better than ever. Rose's training knowledge and consistency really paid off. We just had our follow-up visit and learned even more commands to put in place. I cannot say enough about Rose and her exceptional skillset. I sent my 1 year old Golden Retriever to Suburban K9 for a two week board and train. She worked with both Amy and Twila and I could not recommend them enough. They kept me up to date with pictures and videos of how my dog was doing and how the training was going. She came back well rounded and well behaved. The best part is I could tell how much she loved her time with them. They have given me time and resources to help me be the best trainer as well. Still work to do to, but I know I can get my dog to the level of training I want with their assistance.

Our experience with Suburban K9, namely Twila but also Maggie and Sam, has been nothing short of exceptional. We had a tough time with our rescue puppy, but they all came in and worked absolute magic with her! We are experienced dog owners, but Twila and the rest of the team gave us all the tools we needed to train this little ball of energy and nerves. With the amount of plans they have, we were able to chose one that fit our budget. The free consultation was incredibly helpful as well! We have seen such an improvement in just a few lessons, and that has given us hope that this pup can get along with others well. They are very upfront about owners doing the “homework” given with each lesson, and if you put in the time to do what they say, you’ll get the desired results! Twila in Houston, was an excellet trainer for our dog Skye. She is very compassionate and caring and our dog loved her. We were given regular updates with pictures as to how our dog was progressing. She came back to us very well trained Well done K9!! and Twila Much appreciated!!

Working with our trainer Rose has been the best experience! She’s patient, breaks things down and makes things easy for me and my family. Even being unable to devote a lot of time training my puppy in between our sessions, she has come so far and continues to progress. Highly recommend Suburban K9!! Get Rose if you are lucky enough!!!

Gracie is awesome! I have used her twice and have had great experiences both times. My babies love her. She is knowledgeable and problem/solution oriented.

I was actually able to trim my dog's nails last night. It's been a while since I last did that so I wasn't sure how he would react. What I like most about you and K9 Suburban is that you gave me the tools I need to train my dog. We still have work to do but he is doing what is expected of him....sometimes not so willingly because he has been allowed to "do his own thing" for 2 years of his life. He's learning to do things a different way where he gets to make the choice to do what we ask instead of just doing what he wants to do. And he gets rewarded for making the right choice. I'm so thankful for you and K-9 Suburban!!!

Let me start my saying.... hands down 5+++ stars! STOP LOOKING ANY FURTHER FOR A TRAINER!! This is your stop! We had the wonderful Twila as our trainer (for both me and my pup Luna). I cannot even begin to share all of our success. Luna was 10 months old when we started the 2 week board and train with Twila. I missed Luna like the moment she left. And even cried the second day she was gone. But Twila made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that Luna was in good hands and was safe. All that outta the way... Luna is stubborn, whiney, and sassy. She's got an attitude for days and does things on her own time, and gives the funniest side eye ever! Twila would send us updates and pics of some of the daily activities. So when Luna came back to me.... I was like WOWWW!!! Is this the same dog!?. Like for real!!! Our main goal for Luna was loose leash walk and being more patient when we would give attention to our other doggy when we would get home. She was super rambunctious and shes quite strong. Luna was an attention hog. And would sometimes get aggressive and 'play bite' when she wanted attention back from us petting our other dog. 'Play bite'... well.. that hurts! So when I walked Luna (under the supervision of Twila), it was like a completely different dog. (Side note, Luna caused me a dislocated shoulder, and a torn rotator cuff). So naturally I was afraid to walk Luna. But I did, and Luna was fantastic. Like completely a different dog. She was/is still super skiddish, (anxiety), and she is very easily distracted. She walked great on the loose leash with me for the first time. Heel and stopping, sitting and loose leash, and stay. Twila gave us homework and when she came back a week later for a follow up, she gave me more tips and evaluated us and how we did on our homework. (Naturally the student (Luna) is gonna behave better when the teacher is around). The specific homework was really helpful. Then fast forward 2 weeks for our last follow up---- omggg!!! Luna had a complete melt down on one of our walks (during homework time) as she was completely freaking out when some larger dogs were barking at her behind a fence and loud noises as we were walking. She nearly ran into the street, and I literally was like running trying to control her. When Twila took us to the same spot of Luna's meltdown, she showed me exactly how to overcome that hurdle, and to keep Luna calm and get her back on track. My issue is that I felt bad for yelling at Luna, or having to be so hard on her, or be strict, but I realized I AM THE BOSS, not Luna. I had to learn to stand firm! And Luna feeds on our energy. Nonetheless, the best choice for us was definitely Suburban K9, and Twila is your gal! She was very responsive and answered all my questions and concerns. Super patient with me and that's so important to me. I felt I had all the support I needed. Look no further! Your choice is here.

Gracie Reed with Suburban K9 Dog Training is an exceptional trainer. She establishes a rapport with her clients and is absolutely amazing with dogs. I was at a loss as to how to handle my 115 lb German Shepherd who is 17 months old. When Gracie came to do the assessment; she was confident and so pleasant to work with. She instilled confidence and she put us at ease. I have 4 dogs and they all liked her, because she established boundaries and was working with the dogs and ME immediately. My dogs will listen most of the time. I want them to behave all the time. Gracie is consistent and firm but absolutely fun too. I feel as if I have found gold! Thanks Gracie you are the BEST!
