Puppy training just outside of Chicago! Pearl and Rooney are two young dogs staying with Suburban K9 for our dog boot camp program. Brooke and Nelson are working on heel, sit, stay, and come in this video.
The reason the trainers walk the dogs up to each other and have them sit and stay is to ensure that the dogs are able to see new dogs in public while still maintaining their composure. Pearl and Rooney are young, so it took a lot of practice to get them to this point. Starting the training so young may take a little longer to master but it usually ingrains into the pups behavior more since they have longer to practice in life.
