From a young age, Zach has been surrounded by animals of all kinds—fish, turtles, cats, sugar gliders, and most importantly, dogs. Growing up in that environment sparked a lifelong passion and understanding for the care our furry friends deserve. In fifth grade, when Zach welcomed his first pup at Christmas, a Wheaten Terrier named Tank, he instantly knew dogs would always have a special place in his heart.
During his years living in Chicago, Zach started working directly with dogs, pet-sitting, and dog walking, all while finishing his BA in Communications. This passion led him to managerial roles in both a dog boarding facility and a doggie daycare. During his past four years of working with dogs, he’s learned the value of creating safe, structured, and enriching spaces for all dogs to thrive. His goal is to build trust with both pups and their families, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease.
Zach is known for his easygoing personality, strong attention to safety, and ability to tailor his care to each dog’s individual needs. Whether it’s helping a high-energy pup funnel their energy, building confidence in a shy dog, or ensuring a senior pet feels comfortable and loved, he strives to approach every situation with compassion, care, and dedication.
Outside of training, Zach is typically with his rescue hound mix, Bo, creating art, taking photos, or exploring! He looks forward to being a part of your dog’s life and can’t wait to meet your furry family member!
