Kaitlyn joins Suburban K9 with a lot of experience and passion for training animals. Growing up, Kaitlyn rode horses as often as possible, and, if she wasn’t riding horses, she was training her family dogs for fun. Kaitlyn knew that she was meant to work with animals from the very beginning. Before graduating from high school, Kaitlyn was offered an internship at her local animal hospital, and she was quickly offered a full-time position. She worked there for 3 years while advancing in the clinic from bather, to kennel tech, to vet tech assistant.”
After her time at the clinic, and graduating from college, she took a leap of faith and joined the horse industry. For 5 years, Kaitlyn trained many different horses, taught riding and showing lessons to children and adults, and even managed farms. In 2021, she again had the opportunity to work with small animals at a clinic in Williamson County. The management recognized her work ethic, knowledge, and potential, and she advanced to a Veterinary Assistant position. Kaitlyn thrived in the fast-paced environment, but she also missed the training aspect of working with animals. This is where Kaitlyn’s story at Suburban K9 began. She’s always eager to meet and work with different dogs and their owners and utilize her skills to help improve their lives!
Kaitlyn lives in Murfreesboro, TN, with her three cats: Narcissa, Remus, and Luna. She also has a precious Vizsla, Obi, that has benefitted from her training skills. Obviously, Kaitlyn is a huge fan of Harry Potter and Star Wars, as they inspired her pets’ names. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on the lake or exploring all of the beautiful trails in and around Murfreesboro with her dog.
