Jessica is a Plainfield native, but has recently returned from living in Atlanta, GA. Growing up, her family loved caring for all types of pets including snakes, hamsters, dogs, a rabbit & even a bird. Her love for animals grew as she spent most of her childhood at a riding stable, learning how to create relationships with animals in new ways. Following her childhood dream, she studied Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in pursuit of finding the right profession that would allow her love for animals to be a part of everyday life.
During her journey, Jessica spent time working with the Champaign County Humane Society to train adoptable dogs by creating video content for their profiles. Jessica also spent time in Southern Australia at a Koala Sanctuary to help gather research to increase the koala population on the island. Her last adventure led her to the Rocky Mountain National Park, where she led trail rides on horse-back. This trip allowed her to find her confidence in communicating with people while still managing several animals at once, while doing it safely & having fun!
Professionally, Jessica has sharpened her communication skills as a leader in her previous roles, but knew she could fuel her passion by involving animals in her life in a new way – her career. Joining the Suburban K9 team has allowed her to find her happiest self. When she is not spending time working with you and your furry family members, she can be found making new Pinterest recipes, watching football or playing with her rescue pup Maggie.
